A booking and admin system shaped around how the salon works.
My role: design and implementation of the customer journey and the workspace behind it.
- Problem
- Treatment choices, appointment rules and the working day need to fit together. A booking form is only one part of that job.
- Built
- Treatment selection and composition, availability checks, booking and payment flows, and an admin workspace for appointments and the day ahead.
- Current state
- The public site and admin work have been delivered. Customer self-booking is not open yet. Final client acceptance is still pending.
- Evidence
- Repository tests cover booking rules and supported journeys. Browser checks cover the customer and admin interfaces. These demonstrate implemented behaviour; they do not establish a business result.
The illustration is a hand-made representation of the interface. It contains no customer data.
What this work demonstrates
The whole journey has to make sense.
A customer needs a clear next step. The person running the business needs a useful view of the work. Booking rules and integrations have to support both.
That is the kind of joined-up problem I design, build and test: a usable customer journey with practical tools behind it.
